Former Wyoprep swimmer Kristin Heiss of Kelly Walsh made an excellent showing at the NCAA women's swimming and diving chapionships.

The Junior swims for the Big 12 champions Texas A and M in College Station, Texas. She would finish third in both the 500 free and 200 backstroke. Not only would she finish third, but she would set a Big 12 record for the events. She also managed to get to a 14th place finish in the 200 free and was a part of the 800 free relay team that finished second overall.

Heiss' father swam for part of 3 NCAA Championships teams and a part of 3 national record relays. Her brother Erik is also an outstanding Kelly Walsh Trojan.
