Tyler Cox A National Champion

Three-time Class 4A state champion Tyler Cox of Gillette was named the most outstanding wreslter at the 2008 NHSCA National Championships in Virginia Beach, Virginia last weekend. Cox would win the 112 division and scored the match's only takedown midway through the third period to beat two-time Missouri champion Ryan Mango of St. Louis Whitfield School 3-1 in a match filled with flurries.

Auston Carter of Powell took 5th at 140 in the Sophomore division, and Cox's teammate Tyler Juby of Gillette 7th at 140 Junior division. All three outstanding wreslters received High School All American awards.

Good work to all the All-Americans, I know Gillette had a few other kids in Virginia as well. Also Wheatland and StarValley.

Congrats to Tyler. My little brother has wrestled Tyler for a long time, and has had nothing but nice things to say about him. He really is a class act with tons and tons of talent!!

Congratulations Tyler! He is an AMAZING wrestler. His matches against Justin Whitey Gardner from Star Valley were always my favorites. His moves are awesome, he's definately one of the best wrestlers I have EVER seen.
