Lovell High School announced that they have hired Ken Boatwright as the new football head coach. Boatwright has coached in numerous places prior to coming to Lovell, including in both Powell and Deaver. He led Deaver's team in three seasons to an overall record of 23-4. Boatwright then took over a coaching vacancy at Powell High School in 1976. Boatwright led the Panthers to a 7-1 season in 1978 and outscored opponents 223-28.

Boatwright has also coached at Riverton from 1979-1980, and more recnetly out of state at Cactus Shadows High School 2001-2003, Saratoga, AZ High school 2003-2005, Kingman, AZ South High School 2005-2006, and Archie, MO High School last season.
