The Gillette Roughriders hosted Cheyenne Post 6 and the Billings, MT Scarlets in a triangular Sunday to get the baseball season underway.
The action was scheduled for Saturday, but some winter weather forced the trio of teams to wait another day. Cheyenne Post 6 defeated Gillette 5-2 in the first game of the day. Myles McViegh thre 5 2/3 innings to pick up the first win of the year for Post 6.
Billings would edge Cheyenne Post 6 in the second game of the day 6-5. Post 6 scored 3 runs in the top of the 7th to take the lead, but wouldn't hold it for long after allowing 3 runs in the bottom half of the 7th.
Finally Gillette would edge Billings in a high scoring competative game 12-11. The Roughriders scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning with 2 outs for a walk off win.
