The Gillette Lady Camels are state gymnastics champions after two days of competition in Douglas this weekend.

Gillette had a final team score of 101.945. Second place was Rock Springs at 98.489. Home standing Douglas took third at 96.419. Natrona took 4th, Worland finished 5th and Kelly Walsh finished 6th.
Gillette won an individual championship on the bars thanks to Dusti Poppleton who got a final score of 34.665. Allison Carter of Rock Springs took a second palce finish int he bars at 34.616 and Kaitlyn Balfour of Natrona took third.
Dusti Poppleton also won an individual championship in the floor exercise. She had a total score of 18.482. Michell Page of Natrona was second at 17.699 and teammate Kaitlyn Balfour was third at 17.299.
The beam competition went to Breanna Dodd of Rock Springs with a final score of 18.050, Dusti Poppleton came in second, and Allison Carter finished third.
Allison Carter of Rock Springs would finish the champion of the vault with a score of 18.050. Michell Page of NC was second with a score of 17.282, and Naomi Morgan of Gillette came up with a third place finish.
Finally on the individual front, Dusti Poppleton of Gillette would win the all aruond with a total score of 34.667. Second place in the all aruond was Allison Carter of Rock Springs with a score of 34.616. Last years champ Kaitlyn Balfour finished third at 34.499. Michell Page also of Natrona finished forth and Devon Ficher of Gillette finished fifth.
