These Tigers know no different. Ever since they were old enough to be in school, their Tigers have won the state chamionship of boys swimming.
Lander crushed the field at the Gillette pool over the last two days racking up 318 points to runner up Sublette's 166.
Depth was the key in the win. The Tigers put 18 in the top six places. Junior Alex Robinson won the 50 free for the Tigers while fellow Junior teammate Garret Hamilton won the diving. The Tiger 400 free relay team had the fastest Q time, but, were disqualified in the finals.
Newcastle's Terry Rolfe was named the swimmer of the meet. The Dogie senior won the 200 IM and set a new 3A State Record in the 100 Back. His time of 53:01 beat the mark of current 4A Gillette coach Phil Rehard who swam for Rawlins in 1995 and put the mark at 53.64.
