LISTEN to WYO vs. South Dakota BOYS

Over the past years, Wyoming All Stars have taken on Montana on a Friday and Saturday and then played South Dakota on the following Monday and Tuesday.

This year will be different.

The Spearfish High School is undergoing construction and is not available for use this summer. That means the games would be moved to the Young Center at Black Hills State University. It was booked with an FCA convention on the 23rd and 24th. That is the Monday and Tuesday following the Wyoming vs Montana series in Sheridan and Billings on the 20th and 21st.

The dates that work are June 6th and 7th. The Gillette College Fighting Pronghorn Booster club is ornanizing the event and spokeman Matt Burgess said its been a little tougher this year with the dates being far apart, but, for the most part everything is going well.

The Wyoming boys roster consists of three members of the 4A Champion Gillette Camels. Justin Nelson, Ryan Hutchison, and Cameron Cale. Nelson is the Wyoming Gatorade Player of the Year and the 4A Player of the Year.

Joining them on the roster is 3 time 2A All Stater Rob Johnson of Tongue River; 2 time 2A All Stater Cody Emrick of Sundance ; Brandon Allen of Rock Springs, Jayson Moyte of Cheyenne Central, Galand Thaxton of Laramie, Austin Kofoed of Evanston, and Jerad Anderson of Buffalo.

The Wyoming Ladies see a pair of 4A State Champion and All Statersfrom Cheyenne Central in Chelsy Lybeck and Cassie Carlson leading the way. They are joined by 3 time 3A All Stater Dani White of Lander along with Kelsey Scott of Douglas, Becky Miller of Gillette, Kada Williams of Green River, Jannel Scheuerman of Worland, Ericka Stender of Sheridan, and Mandy Mullock of Torringon.

South Dakota is led by Kristi Ryan. The Highmore High School Grad will play at Black Hills State next year and was a first team All Stater 3 years in a row. Other girls include Erika Carlson from Spearfish, Amanda Jenson of Buffalo, Mikayla Barondeau from Frederick, Maggie Malloy of Parkston, Keely Krolikowski from Martin, Cami Koehn from Egan, and Vanessa Johnson of Hartford.

Boys names are Nathan Johnson of Rapid City, Isaac Parsons of Custer, Thomas Nettleton and Tyler Hinker of Sturgis, Evan Sims from Rapid City Central, Stevie Statz and Tanner Wince of St. Thomas More, Lester Goethridge and Christian McGhee from Red Cloud, and Jordan Budenhagen from Huron.

The first game will be Friday the 6th at Gillette's North Campus. The girls play at 5:30 with the boys to follow at 7:30. Admission is $4 for adults and $2 for students with 12 and under free.
