Riverton short stop Trevor Wilson hit his third homer of the night in the first inning of a 15 to 5 win in five innings over visiting Lovell Friday night.
The two time All Stater hit two dingers in the game 1 16 to 5 win over the Mustangs and followed it up with another in the first inning of game two.
Riverton took a 7 to 5 lead into the bottom of the fifth where they broke the game open and ended it scoring 8 times to envoke the 10 run mercy rule.
Franklin Asmundson went 3 and 2/3 innings to get the win. He ran into a bit of trouble in the 3rd, but got of a bases loaded jam with 2 strike outs. He left in the top of the fourth and Matt Raymond closed out the game.
With the bats, Wilson led the way with a pair of singles from Doss Winter and Gregoree Tenlen. Jarron Monroe had a double.
Isaac Herrman sat the second game with a cracked rib as Derek Watson was the catcher in the night cap.
Riverton is now 5-5 on the season and has won four straight. Lovell drops to 0-3. The Mustangs open their home season Saturday against Laramie's A team at their new field in Cowley. Riverton entertains the Worland/Lander combination on June 17th.
