Day two of Wyoming Vs. Montana basketball was another heart breaker for the Wyo ladies.
Friday night Wyoming lost 79-70 in overtime. Saturday they would fall 84-74, but had built a 24 point lead at one point in the first half.
Wyoming jumped out to a 44-20 lead in the second quarter and would take a 46-30 lead at halftime. Stretching from the late second quarter to halfway thru the third quarter Montana's ladies had a 32-2 run to put the northerners back in control of the ballgame. MT held a 3 point lead into the third quarter and outscored Wyoming by seven in the fourth.
Chelsey Lybeck from Cheyenne Central lead the effort with 18 points. Kristin Scheffler of Lovell had 15 points and Sheridan's Erika Stender added 13.
Montana's ladies now lead the overall series with Wyoming 15-9.
