Buffalo senior Jerad Anderson has signed his letter of intent to play basketball at Black Hills State University next season. Anderson joins Tongue River's Rob Johnson who commited earlier this season to BHSU and former preps Forrest Dorr of Gillette, Parfait Nayigihugu of Laramie, Cain Atkinson of Evanston, and Travis Haney of Gillette. Both Dorr and Nayighugu will graduate this year however.

The following is a press release on Anderson from Black Hills State University...

Jerad Anderson has committed to play basketball for Black Hills State University starting in the fall of 2008 from Buffalo, Wyoming. In his two years playing for the Buffalo Bison, Jerad led his team to a 43-10 record (24-2 as a senior), conference championship, regional championship, regional runner up, and 2-third place finishes at state.

The 6'4" Bison forward averaged 13 points, and 9 rebounds a game as a junior, and 18 points, 9 rebounds per game as a senior. "Jerad was a versatile player for us in high school, he was effective inside, and was able to move outside and be a threat on the perimeter" said High School Coach Paul Prosinski.

As a sophomore in Newcastle he led the Dogies to their first state tournament birth in four years. Jerad averaged 16 points and 10 rebounds per game.

Jerad was selected to the Absaraka All-Conference team three times, and earned All-State honors his senior year. He was recognized by the Wyoming High School Activities Association for Sportsmanship during his junior year. Jerad will represent Wyoming in the All-Star games vs. Montana and South Dakota. He will also represent the North in the Wyoming North-South All-Star game.

"We are extremely excited to have Jerad join our program. He comes from a great high school program in Buffalo and will bring a tremendous work ethic to our team" said Coach Sather.

Congratulations from Wyopreps to Jerad!
