Cheyenne East was a busy place this weekend, hosting the 1A, 2A, and 4A East regional track meets.

In class 1A Saratoga swept the team championships. The Lady Panthers had 112 team points, Southeast was second with 112, and Hulett slipped a spot in day two to finish in second place. The Saratoga boys had a big win with 184 team points, Southeast was also second with 116 points on the boys side and Upton finished third.

In class 2A the Guernsey-Sunrise boys had a 52 point victory in the team standings. Lusk took second with 90 points, and Big Horn was three points behind the Tigers at 81. The Tongue River Lady Eagles won a closer heat in the girls standings. Lingle Ft.-Laramie was second and Sundance took home the bronze.

Finally, in class 4A the Cheyenne Central Lady Indians literally ran away with the crown. 232.5 total points gave them over a 100 point victory over rivals Cheyenne East who took second at 111.5. Gillette was third at 109. The Camel boys would win the championship in class 4A however with 204 total points. Laramie's Plainsmen were a distant second at 122, and Sheridan third at 111.
