Mustangs pummel Wolverines in three inches of snow, and thunder and lightning.
In a wild weather game in Casper, Tom Earl ran roughshod over the Wolverines. The Mustang Senior RB went 29 times for 323 yards and five touchdowns. He scored on runs of 60, 39, 30, 46, and 3 yards. Earl accounted for 75% of the Natrona 421 yards of offense.
Brice Parkhill ran 10 times for 98 yards and had 2 td's. He also caught the only pass completed by Ryan Murphy for 9 yards. Natrona led 41 to 6 at half after going up 28 to 6 at the end of the first.
Riverton had sophomore running back Brandon Jennings go for 133 yards on 16 carries. He ran 92 yards on one play in the first quarter for a score.
Cody Blumenshine completed 9 of 18 passes for 111 yards. Riverton's other score came in the fourth on a blocked punt by Will Schilt that was scooped and scored by Justice Spriggs.
The game saw temps at 30 degrees and winds up to 25 mph. The game was actually called with :15 seconds left as the snow subsided but lightning and thunder moved in lighting up the Casper sky.
