Cup drivers whine like school girls

In 12 years of covering motorsports, one thing always amazes me. How similar the Cup garage area is to a bunch of teen-aged girls at a school lunch table. The complaints come as fast as the latest gossip of who is dating who.
Watching all the whining about the launch of the Car of Tomorrow the past two weeks has done nothing but reaffirm this observation.
The Car of Tomorrow has a noble purpose in preventing our sport from becoming Formula One where the rich teams win, period. Benefits should include an equalization of team expenditures, standardization of more parts, the car you see on Sunday will look more like the one you buy on Monday and safety features will be added for increased driver survivability in a bad wreck.
OK. To kill speed the car is blocky and the handling isn't the same. But in the two COT races so far we have had side by side finishes and the outside grove has worked for most teams. I can't remember the last time I saw cars go outside at Martinsville on purpose.
Its time for the principal to come to the lunchroom and tell these girls to shut-up and drive.
