New title sponsor for the Busch Series?

Posted June 8, 2007
By Bruce Hassy

Is NASCAR shopping for a new series partner? Rumor has it that Subway is the leading contender to be the new 'Busch' Series sponsor in 2008. Anheuser-Busch has been in that role since the series inception. Adding credibility to the rumor is the fact that Roush-Fenway is looking to bring Aflac on board the #16 car next year.

The open wheel driver invasion continues for the Montreal Busch race. Road course specialists Paul Tracy and Max Papis are both linked to a possible RCR ride north of the border by the Toronto Sun. But there is one fly in the ointment. Tracy told SPEED this week that there is a possible conflict between his existing sponsors in open wheel and RCR sponsors.
